Sulphur Skin ointment: 1. a mild antiseptic, 2. a mild antifungal 3.treatment of acne, dandruff, seborrhoeic conditions, etc

ANTIFUNGAL OINTMENT

IT is an effective antifungal topical preparation, contains a mixture of Benzoic acid and Salicylic acid in the ration of 2-1 in a suitable base.

COMPOSITION1g of the Ointment contains: Benzoic acid 0.06g, Salicylic acid 0.03g

INDICATIONSthis antifungal ointment is effective in the treatment of fungal infections of the skin due to dedrmatophytes e.g. Trichophyton species, moulds and other fungi such as Tinea capitis (Ringworm), Tinea Corporis, Tinea Cruris, Tinea Vesicolor, Tinea Pedis (Athlete's foot)

CONTRA-INDICATIONSProven intolerance to any of the individual constituents

PRECAUTIONIf local irritation or allergic reaction occurs, the treatment should be discontinued.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONApply thinly to the affected parts and rub in 2-3 times daily. Duration and treatment could be up to 2-4 weeks depending on the extent and the site of thedisease.
